Default review beeman r-9 in .20

ok here is my review of the r-9 . ordered the r-9 from straight shooters on thursday and recieved it on monday yippee. opened up the box and the rifle was wrapped nice and purdy with no damage, double boxed nice touch. ok first impression was a nicely finished beech stock with very nice checkering not to sharp but deep enough to grab onto. blueing is deep and very well done. nice muzzle brake, nice touch on the gold trigger, the optics are bushnell banner 4x12 x40 a.o. i do like the bushnell optics clear and brite. the cross hares are a little to thick for my taste but i dont plan on changing them.. one thing that i reaaly noticed out of the box was the barrel and reciever point in the same direction , hate that barrel droop. ok now its time o clean the barrel etc, ran patches down the bore. now we are ready to shoot this little guy. out of the box at 42 feet i was hitting the bullseye , made a few minor adjustments. back on track nice trigger just a hint of creep, that i can live with. breaks clean. i am like this gun a lot. now its time for the chrony test, r-9 came with beeman field targets so thats what i chronyed. guys we are looking at 770 to 779 none over or above. im a happy camper. from a bench rest on a fairly calm day i was getting groups of one half inch , that is about as good as i can do, so i think the rifle is capable of a lot better groups. the muzzle report is not very loud compared to other rifles that i own. and the effort to break the barrel to load is very easy, you cant believe your getting 700 + fps with the noise level and the effort it takes to make ready to shoot after about 300 rounds im satisfied. i would buy another r-9 in a heart beat. pics of mr r-9 in the community section. kingpin

Yes, welcome to the R9 family.
If I could only have one airgun, it would be an R9.
Show is those pics.

Default yep R-9 is a good one

mine is in.20 cal.,I am glad I got it in that cal.,now I know why some people love it.
The R-9 is a keeper,I do like the feel and balance of my Webly Tomahawk better though.
I have a CenterPoint scope on it,good combo..
