A short take on the Nitro,
Was hesitant to buy the Nitro at first but after some thought and reviews of the Marauder, believing that Crosman had turned a new page, decided to take the chance and wasn't disappointed. The Nitro .22 is a super shooter in my my book, loves the JSB Express the best followed by the JSB jumbo's, CPs and the RWS Meisterugln. But the Express are the most consistent . The Nitro is quiet and has all the power I expected even after reading about the phenomenal numbers advertised with the super light weight pellets., I get 16 -17 fpe with JSB, CPs and RWS to name a few. The trigger is a bit heavy at first but with some adjustment breaks crisp, not as crisp as a Rekord trigger mind you but it works. A good scope in the package from Centerpoint with one piece mount your good to go. A great package deal, I was on the pre-order list at Pyramyd Air, the 15% discount for Fathers day made it that much sweeter. Give it a shot I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for the review. Was looking at this one the other day. Have anything else to report now on it? Still think it is worth it? Seems like a decent starter gun. Thanks

Mark, the only thing I would change is the trigger, a bit heavy. I have over 3000 rounds thru her and recently did a run over the chrony, still getting the same ballpark numbers as 1st time- 16.5 fpe w JSB exacts......
Its a great backyard shooter, accurate and quiet. The package is a good deal, all you need to get started with plenty of power to hunt. Hope this helps. JMB

Thanks that is what I was hoping to hear! Guess I do have one more question. Have you tried any of the Predator pellets through this gun?

You know, AoA is selling an NCT trigger upgrade for the Nitro that was designed by Steve in NC. Suppose to give it a true 2 stage trigger with much lighter pull. He's the same guy that designed the GTX triggers for the Gamo/Crosman Chinese made guns. I have one of those "gold" triggers in my Quest and it was a night and day difference. It may be worth looking into if you are looking to improve your Nitro's trigger.

Second the NCT. I have one, its the trigger that SHOULD have been in the gun from the start.
Downside to the Nitro? It has ruined me for any other springer......

I have the same gun on order that's supposed to be here Friday. I'm getting real antsy waiting on it. I ordered the Remington version. It's the same gun, different name. Both made by Crosman.

I've had my Remington NPSS .22 for about ten days or so and I really like the gun. The 3x9x50 Centerpoint scope is nice and bright. I ordered a replacement trigger for it because I wanted it down to a pound and a half or so and right now I can't get it any lower than five pounds. It's pretty accurate right out of the box and settled righ down after I put about fifty pellets through it. It really shoots good with RWS 14.2 gr. Super-H-Points. It shoots equally good with 16 gr. Polymag Predators. The predators are a little tight going into the chamber for some reason though.
